Check out the most recent episode of Craft in America on PBS: Craft in America: Process
North Bennet Street School in Boston, where I studied bookbinding, is featured in a segment of the show (towards the end of the hour). It is a wonderful look at the history and mission of the school and includes very inspiring comments from current students. One of my teachers appears briefly, as do a lot of students who were there when I was.
In this same episode, there is also a fabulous segment on Julie Chen of Flying Fish Press, a book artist who makes extremely well-crafted and designed, visually stunning, and conceptually stimulating artist books.
I have not seen other episodes, but after watching this one I am adding it to my must-see list.
